Beta Data & Privacy Notice
Effective 23 September 2026
Job Hound is currently in closed beta. This notice explains what personal information Job Hound uses, why we use it, where AI is involved, and the choices you have about your information.
Job Hound is operated by Attention Lab Ventures (Pty) Ltd., based at 10 Soho Lane, Beverley, Fourways, 2191, South Africa.
For privacy questions or requests, contact sejanamanet@gmail.com.
Waitlist information
When you join the beta waitlist, we store your first name, email address, optional role interest, referral or campaign labels where supplied, and invitation status and timestamps. We use these to review requests and manage beta invitations. Joining creates no account and requires no CV. Waitlist details are not used for AI matching. Contact us using the address above to request deletion.
What information Job Hound uses
To run Job Hound, we may process information you provide directly and information created through your use of the product.
This can include:
- your name and email address;
- the kinds of jobs you are looking for;
- location, timezone, availability and work preferences;
- CVs and other career information you choose to provide;
- information extracted from those materials for your Track Record;
- corrections or confirmations you make to that information;
- jobs Job Hound has matched or shown to you;
- match, eligibility and relevance information created by Job Hound;
- jobs you choose to pursue;
- company research and application materials you ask Job Hound to create;
- your Morning Drop email preferences; and
- limited technical, security and operational information needed to run and troubleshoot the beta.
Your email address is required to access your beta account. Other information helps Job Hound personalise your matches and application support. Providing less information may mean Job Hound has less information to work with and may produce fewer or less useful matches and drafts.
Please avoid uploading information that is not needed for your job search, particularly highly sensitive personal information.
Why we use it
We use this information to:
- authenticate and operate your Job Hound account;
- understand the type of work you want;
- identify jobs that may be relevant to you;
- assess whether a role appears able to hire someone in your location;
- rank and explain potential matches;
- build and maintain your Track Record;
- help you research roles and employers;
- create CV, cover-letter and application drafts when you ask for them;
- deliver your Morning Drop;
- maintain the security and reliability of the service; and
- understand and improve the closed beta.
We do not use your personal information for unrelated advertising purposes.
How AI is used
Job Hound uses AI and automated systems as part of its matching and application workflow.
AI may be used to help:
- interpret information in your CV and Track Record;
- compare your experience with job requirements;
- rank roles for your attention;
- explain why a role may or may not fit;
- research roles and employers; and
- draft application materials that you explicitly request.
These systems can make mistakes. Job Hound is designed to help you make decisions, not make employment decisions on your behalf.
You should review generated information before relying on or submitting it.
What Job Hound does not do
Job Hound does not automatically apply for jobs on your behalf.
Opening a match, pursuing a role, researching a company or generating a draft does not submit anything to an employer.
Your CV, Track Record and application drafts are private to your Job Hound account unless you choose to take information from Job Hound and provide it to an employer yourself.
We do not sell your personal information to employers, advertisers or data brokers.
Service providers
Job Hound relies on third-party service providers to operate the product.
These may include providers used for:
- cloud hosting;
- databases and file storage;
- authentication;
- AI processing;
- email delivery; and
- technical monitoring and security.
These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to Job Hound and are not given your information so that they can independently market to you.
Processing outside South Africa
Some of Job Hound's technology and service providers operate infrastructure outside South Africa. This means some personal information may be processed or stored in other countries.
Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa, Job Hound aims to use providers and safeguards consistent with the requirements of POPIA for cross-border processing.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate Job Hound, support your account, maintain security and integrity, meet lawful obligations, or resolve issues relating to the beta.
When there is no longer a lawful or operational reason to retain personal information, it should be deleted, destroyed or de-identified as appropriate.
During the closed beta, some deletion requests may be handled manually.
Deleting information
You can remove certain information from within Job Hound.
For example, deleting a CV or evidence source removes the source content from active use. Job Hound may retain limited non-content records needed to preserve system integrity, history or audit relationships.
If you want your full Job Hound account and associated personal information deleted, contact sejanamanet@gmail.com.
We will assess and process the request in accordance with applicable law and any information we are legitimately required or permitted to retain.
Correcting your information
You can correct or update information in Job Hound where the product provides that functionality.
You can also contact sejanamanet@gmail.com if information about you is inaccurate or you want to request access, correction or deletion.
Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure or misuse.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, particularly during an early beta. If we become aware of a security compromise involving your personal information, we will handle it in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, POPIA gives you rights relating to your personal information, including the ability to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you;
- request access to your information;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- request deletion or destruction where appropriate;
- object to certain processing; and
- complain to the Information Regulator.
For a request concerning Job Hound, contact sejanamanet@gmail.com first and we will try to resolve it.
